Dr. Mark H. Ballard serves as the Publisher for Northeastern Baptist Press, and President of Northeastern Baptist College in Bennington, VT. He has served as a faithful pastor, diligent church planter, passionate evangelist, innovative educator, creative and prolific author, pacesetting Baptist leader, and is the husband of Cindy and dad of Benjamin. He graduated Criswell College with his Bachelor’s, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with his M.Div. and Ph.D. Dr. Ballard has filled pulpits, held revival services, and served as a conference speaker in numerous states for more than 30 years.

Dr. Jared M. August serves as Senior Academic Editor for Northeastern Baptist Press and Associate Professor of New Testament and Greek at Northeastern Baptist College. Having grown up in Rhode Island, he is passionate about reaching New England with the gospel of Christ and training others to do the same. He received his B.S. and M.A. from Clarks Summit University, and his M.Div. and Ph.D. from Baptist Bible Seminary. Dr. August has published articles in academic journals such as Bibliotheca Sacra, Bulletin for Biblical Research, Themelios, and Tyndale Bulletin. Jared, his wife Allie, and son Ransom live in Arlington, Vermont.

Dr. Timothy K. Christian serves as the Senior Content Editor for Northeastern Baptist Press, and a retired pastor and profes- sor, now living in Martinsville, VA. He has pastored churches in the southeast, northeast, and in Naples, Italy. Dr. Christian served as a professor and administrator at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and a professor at Northeastern Baptist College. Tim has been married to his friend Judy since 1976. They have two married children, and seven grandchildren. In retirement Tim writes part-time and is the full-time caregiver for Judy as she battles advanced Secondary Progressive MS.

Jacob Thompson serves as the Director of Business Administration at Northeastern Baptist Press and the Director of Special Projects for Northeastern Baptist College. Before joining NEBP, Jacob founded Eco Fidelity, an environmental remediation company located in Northwest Oklahoma. Additionally, he has worked as a project manager, staff accountant, logistics technician, and served in the United States Navy. Jacob graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Accounting. He is passionate about reaching the lost and equipping other believers to fulfill the Great Commission.

Ralph H. Slater serves as Associate Editor for Northeast- ern Baptist Press. Married to Laurie, Ralph holds the M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island and the B.A. from Wheaton College and is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society. Ralph raised two sons, one with a chronic illness, and learned a great deal from both. Mentors such as Arthur Holmes, Gordon Fee and Leland Ryken inspired Ralph’s life-long enjoyment of learning and mentoring. Now an independent writer and editor, Ralph enjoys mentoring, writing, editing, and teaching various classes.

Leason “Tripper” Stiles serves as the Creative Director of Design and Layout at Northeastern Baptist Press and is Communications Specialist for Northeastern Baptist College, where he graduated in 2020 from the Christian Counseling program. In addition, Tripper has helped launch a church plant in Schenectady, NY; owns TLS Visuals, a video and graphic design company; and does contract work for SBC Tapes/EGAMI A/V, his parents’ audio/visual business. His goal is to do all he does with excellence unto the Lord, producing the highest quality resources for equipping and uplifting the body of Christ.
